The Challenge
Training strategy and curriculum (for online delivery) required to support the capacity-building needs of social sector organisations in Jamaica.
The Solution
- Developed a set of core competencies that articulate the desired combination of knowledge, skills, behaviours, and attitudes that are critical for the sustainable and effective operation and management of a Not-for-Profit Organisation and a Social Enterprise (collectively called “the SSOs”).
- Conceptualised, developed, and implemented a training needs analysis tool for use by the staff of the JSE;
- Recommended a training strategy and mechanisms to address the needs of SSOs;
- Developed a certificate programme, complete with pathways and recommendations for articulation with other programmes; and
- Developed curriculum for online delivery comprised of a set of 14 modules.
