The Challenge

Experienced educator required to implement project components related to the integrating of ICT into the curriculum. The project had already started, and the ICT integration component was on hold whilst the project team awaited a new consultant.

The Solution

Over a period of 56 workdays, on the ground in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, developed and implemented a series of capacity-building programmes that targeted education officers, school technology coordinators, and subject teachers. More specifically, HCA:

  1. designed and delivered face-to-face in-service professional development training workshops— “Productivity Tools and Online Resources for Teaching/Learning” — to curriculum officers, classroom teachers, and technology coordinators; and
  2. produced the storyboard, selected a cast, and directed filming of video footage for the production of a series of promotional and training videos; and
  3. developed an ICT Integration Handbook for use by classroom teachers; and
  4. established a Community of Practice and hosted it on the Edmodo platform.
